A Pure Class A Amplifier, Revealing the True Essence of Music.

The L-100 CENTENNIAL is LUXMAN’s first pure Class-A integrated amplifier to employ our company’s LIFES core circuit technology, achieving a delicate, smooth and richly textured sound with a densely musical authority, genuine hallmarks of true Class-A amplification. Its warm sonic character is visually expressed through illuminated needle-type analog meters with soft yellow backlighting that respond dynamically to music. The front panel features a refined contrast of brushed white finish and a glossy chrome “CENTENNIAL” badge, signifying its status as one of our 100th-anniversary models. Between the dual meters sits a 7-segment LED display that shows attenuation level, allowing precise volume confirmation from the listening position. Both the meter illumination and LED display can be independently turned on or off via the remote control.

Developed with a vision for the future of amplifier design, LIFES was created to deliver lifelike musicality, richness and outstanding audio performance. The L-100 CENTENNIAL design employs paralleled differential detection circuitry to augment the input stage, further reducing distortion and achieving an unprecedented level of clarity and energy across the entire frequency range. Rated output is 20W + 20W into 8Ω and 40W + 40W into 4Ω, providing ample power for typical living rooms and dedicated listening spaces. The triple-paralleled output stage is generously designed, with optimum musical richness concentrated within the Class-A operating region.

Volume adjustment is handled by our newly developed LECUA1000, an 88-step, electronically controlled attenuator integrated directly into the amplifier circuitry. This design ensures smooth, finely graduated volume control operation with minimal sonic degradation. By directly connecting the attenuator and amplification stages, signal paths are shortened to preserve musical signal integrity. High-grade, discrete buffer circuitry, derived from LUXMAN’s flagship preamplifiers, is employed at the preamp output stage to provide powerful drive capability.

The power supply, the beating heart of the L-100 CENTENNIAL, features our custom designed EI-core transformer regulated by eight large filter capacitors (8 x 10,000μF). This steadfast LUXMAN power supply delivers exceptional transient response and unwavering stability, providing abundant energy under all load conditions, ensuring complete control over loudspeakers with ease and authority.

In addition to the standard Φ6.3mm headphone jack, the L-100 CENTENNIAL is equipped with a Φ4.4mm headphone output featuring independent left and right channel ground wiring. This configuration improves channel separation and imaging, allowing compatible headphones and cables to deliver a spacious, high resolution listening experience.

A high-quality MM/MC phono amplifier is incorporated to support premium analog record playback. Additional external features include tone controls, loudness compensation, left/right balance adjustment, preamp /power amp separation capability and a mute function. An auto power-save mode is also provided to reduce power consumption when the amplifier is not in use, combining convenience with efficiency.

All circuit boards for the input and output terminals and amplifier stages use peel-coat PCB technology, eliminating resistive coatings and lowering induced voltage that can degrade sound quality. Newly developed low-noise relays improve channel separation in the input selector circuitry. It reflects LUXMAN’s uncompromising, sound-first design philosophy down to the smallest detail.

LINE-1 input uses LUXMAN’s original highly durable RCA terminals with a wide 20mm pitch, accommodating large, audiophile grade cable plugs (LINE-2 to LINE-4: 18mm pitch). Speaker outputs feature two large terminal sets supporting bi-wiring, compatible with both Y-lugs and banana plugs. An in-line layout ensures equal signal path lengths across all channels and terminals, simplifying connections while maintaining symmetry.

The chassis employs loop-less construction to minimize ground impedance and magnetic interference. The weight of the unit is supported on density gradient cast iron insulator feet, designed with a gradually refined metallic structure from center to edge to suppress resonance. These supports effectively isolate the unit from external vibrations and deter internal mechanical resonance, contributing to its superior sonic stability.

The AC inlet features a gold-plated, robust design that supports the cable’s weight across the entire terminal, ensuring secure and stable connection. A premium aluminum remote control is also supplied, capable of operating compatible LUXMAN CD players.
